Hiding from Japanese Ghosts
Kosenjo Park
Nagakute-ku, Aichi-ken
Map: http://goo.gl/maps/2Yzw1
Said to be a famous and very dangerous ghost spot, Kosenjo Park is a beautiful, scenic recreational area home to warlords and soldiers who perished in battle.
According to signs located throughout the park, the battle between the prominent warlords of the time reached a bloody and ferocious peak in and around the area. As it resulted in a staggering death count, it is often believed that Kosenjo Park and the surrounding area is haunted.
People claim to have observed headless spirits wandering throughout the park in samurai garments. Due to a conflict of religious beliefs, it is said deceased soldiers are unable to move on from the battle site.
In particular, this site is dangerous for psychics and people who are sensitive to spirits as the ghosts are vengeful. There are stories of being attacked from behind, a dull throbbing in the neck, suddenly being overwhelmed by nausea, a heaviness to the limbs, feeling threatened or in mortal peril, and being watched.
While the park is open to everyone at all hours of the day, it is warned not to enter the area at night as spirit-sightings are an often occurrence.
